A minor update. As work with the car continues, an issue has been identified. Due to the additional weight of the engine, body and components, the steering is seriously effected. It's now even harder to steer, and as a result, puts pressure on the weaker steering components, which could be very dangerous. An expert, familiar with 2.0 Corsa conversions is occasionally assisting with the project and has identified this problem before.

The solution then is to add the steering rack + power steering from the Nissan Pulsar that provided all the 4x4 components. The rack & related bits are a lot stronger and will be suitable. This obviously adds additional time delay to the project, but it's very important something like this is fixed sooner rather than later!

In addition, the rear 4x4 section of the car has been inspected by an MOT tester and is all identified as safe, which is reassuring for me, and one less thing to worry about later on.
