I can happily report that excellent progress is being made to the car. The 4wd components have been stripped from the donor car (Nissan Pulsar GTIR) and measured up against my Micra. The rear track is a bit wider, causing the wheels to be slightly exposed from the arches, but there are several solutions for this.

We are also confident we can now get away with using the Pulsar's fuel tank, instead of using a fuel cell. This will save additional cost, and can have a factory type fitment under the car.

The car will be using Nissan Pulsar independent rear suspension, which has camber adjustment, and a far greater amount of after market parts available.

I'm told that there are four major stages of the project to go:

  • Fabrication

  • Bodywork

  • Wiring

  • Plumbing

I'm told that the fabrication & bodywork process will hopefully be completed in the next 4 weeks!
